While this beautiful video he created won’t provide you with magic solutions to overcome procrastination, it highlights the importance of the neuroplasticity of our brains—that our brains can change—and that “the more plastic your brain is the easier it is to train it to do what you want: to make and break habits.” Tim Pychyl1, Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at Carleton University, mentions that “what we want to do is down regulate the limbic system and strengthen the response of the prefrontal cortex—and mindfulness meditation is a route to that.”
